Canedy Knowles
Canedy has spent her life pursuing two things: a pony and a good laugh. While the pony dream remains unfulfilled, she has become an expert at the latter. A veteran of the improv scene, she performed for almost two decades with NYC's Off Broadway improv comedy show, Chicago City Limits, and has been a featured player with The PIT, UCB, IO and LA TheatreSports, and is an original member of the all-improvised musical, Luck of the Draw. On screen, she was a series regular on the improvised series, LifeGame, used her improv skills to trick people into believing she was a real person on ABC's hidden camera show, What Would You Do? and sang over 70 improvised songs in less than 24 hours to thank the loyal fans of AT&T.
When not making things up on the spot, she has a habit of showing up on your television. She has had recurring roles on the BRAVO sitcom Odd Mom Out and on CBS's Blue Bloods, and has played many ridiculous characters on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. She’s been a cheerleader doing whippets on Strangers with Candy, Merv the Perv’s sexy nurse on Saturday Night Live, and a model that resembled the love child of Joan Crawford and Raggedy Andy on Ugly Betty.
If you want to see her forty feet tall, check out her film work in Mona Lisa Smile, The Departed, Enchanted, or Spider-Man (if you don’t blink). She also won the prestigious "George Lucas Selects Award" for her impressive turn as Chewbacca in the short film For The Love of the Film - a Wookie portrayal that made a childhood dream of being recognized by George Lucas a reality.
As much as she loves performing, she's also an award-winning director, writer, and a highly sought-after improv and acting teacher.
Basically, she's an overachiever who just wants a pony.
