ANDREW SABONIS-CHAFEE
Andrew Sabonis-Chafee is so happy to be back at AWP for the Comedy Spectacular! He went to undergrad at Baylor University where he was a part of their best (and only) improv comedy group, Guerrilla Troupe. He is currently pursuing his Masters at Emory University. You can probably find him at a local improv jam in town, hiking somewhere in north Georgia, or at Emory’s library writing papers.
REX KNOWLES
Rex has been teaching improvisation for more than thirty-five years. Former students have included Garry Shandling, Leslie Jordan, Sonny Shroyer, Barry Pearl, Dennis Palumbo, and hundreds of improv enthusiasts. Rex, plus his wife and fellow improviser, Sherry, have led workshops for the American Film Institute, Screen Actors Guild Conservatory, Association for Theatre in Higher Education, Southeastern Theatre Conference, Atlanta Workshop Players, Wolftrap, Union and Auburn Theological Seminaries, the Lorian Society, and numerous colleges and universities.
CANEDY KNOWLES
Canedy has performed improv with Chicago City Limits, ImprovOlympics, LA TheatreSports, The PIT, at the LA Comedy Festival and is an original member of Luck Of The Draw-The Fully Improvised Musical. And SO much more! You can also see Canedy in the BRAVO sitcom Odd Mom Out, Blue Bloods, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Lifegame, Strangers with Candy, Saturday Night Live, Ugly Betty, numerous national commercials and more.
SHERRY LANDRUM
Sherry is Artistic Director of the Chattanooga State Repertory Theatre and the Professional Actor Training Program at Chattanooga State Community College. She has won two “best director” awards from Los Angeles Drama Critics and a “best director” award from the Tennessee Theatre Association. She co-founded, directs, and performs with the award-winning improv comedy group Chattanoodle. Sherry has appeared in numerous commercials, movies, and television shows, including hosting her own show on CBS. Sherry has written two musicals with George S. Clinton. Sherry served on the faculty of the New Actors Workshop, where she taught Acting Technique and Improvisation and chaired the Masters Degree Program. Sherry holds a Masters Degree in Theatre Arts from Antioch University.
DON STALLINGS
Crawdad’s Sing, Freaky, Brothers, Bobcat Goldthwait's Misfits and Monsters, Stan Against Evil, Raising Dion, Zoe Ever After, Turn: Washington's Spies, Game of Silence, Jerry and Marge Go Large with Bryan Cranston and an upcoming Disney project...Don performed nationally as a stand up comedian, is an experienced stage combat choreographer who received his training with the Society of American Fight Directors.
JORJEANA MARIE
Jorjeana does comedy across the nation and can regularly be found on stage at UCB, ioWest, The Improv or The Comedy Store or a parking lot. (We’re not even kidding). Jorjeana has appeared in most mediums of entertainment. Live comedy, NYC theater, big budget films, mega video games, animation, commercials with charming celebrities, improv and sketch at UCB and iO, intimate storytelling, voiced over 400 novels and writes and voices shows for Disney and Nickelodeon!
