The arts community is a truly remarkable group and AWP is ecstatic with the stellar team coming together for our 2023 camp programming! A group of deeply skilled, talented, hardworking and kind people eager to teach and collaborate with YOU!

Meet the teachers:

Amanda Lenker Doyle

AMANDA LENKER DOYLE

Amanda Lenker Doyle, CSA is an award winning Casting Director, Amanda has been working in film and television casting for over 17 years. In 2022, her short film "Please Hold" was nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category! Some additional favorite credits to date include R#J (a Romeo & Juliet story) which swept Sundance and SXSW in 2021, film "We Broke Up" streaming now on Hulu, "Black-ish" & "The Muppets" for ABC, "Zac & Mia" for Netflix and "Wayne" streaming now on Amazon Prime.

Amanda believes that every actor should have an opportunity to shine - and she can't wait to see what beautiful gems she digs up.

Clifton Guterman

CLIFTON GUTERMAN

He’s formerly served for four seasons as the Alliance Theatre’s Artistic Assistant, as Casting Director and National New Play Network Producer in Residence at Actor’s Express, and as Associate Artistic Director and Casting Director for eight seasons of Atlanta’s second-oldest professional theatre, Theatrical Outfit.

Clifton is also a member of the Advisory Committee for The Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Shulers). He chairs the Artist Advisory Council, is a contributing writer for ArtsATL, and was in the Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta’s class of 2020. Clifton has directed locally with Alliance Theatre, The Atlanta Opera, and Theatrical Outfit. He’s further cast productions for Actor’s Express, Agnes Scott College, Horizon Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, and True Colors Theatre Company.

He and his husband Chad live in Cabbagetown.

JASON CHAET

Jason Chaet is an award winning filmmaker, theatre director, producer, editor and acting teacher based in New York City. He has a vast array of theater directing credits across the country, and worked developed new writers for HBO with the Off The Page series. His multiple award winning feature film Putzel appeared in over fifty film festivals around the world.

His most recent feature film Seneca, had it's world premiere at the HBO NY Latino Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury Prize. It went on to win multiple awards including the prestigious Ultra Indie Feature Prize at the Woodstock Film Festival and Best Picture and Best Director at the Phoenix Film Festival. Seneca currently airs exclusively on HBO Latino and HBO Max.

LYNN STALLINGS

Lynn is a producer, director, casting consultant, on set acting coach and experienced talent manager in television and film.  She has performed in over 30 musicals and hundreds of commercials, voice overs, radio dramas, and talk shows. Lynn began as a professional dancer, studying with Luigi, the Martha Graham Company, Rowland Dupree and the Dance Theatre Workshop. Her theatrical training includes the University Theatre Program, the Academy Theatre, Theatre Atlanta and the Alliance Theatre School. Lynn has taught at the University of Mississippi, Dance Theatre Workshop, the Alliance Theatre and is the founder and executive director of The Atlanta Workshop Players. She has written and produced 23 successful, family musicals and is a working actor represented by Atlanta Models & Talent.

ASHLYN STALLINGS

Ashlyn Stallings is the graduate of a New York based Film Acting Conservatory and is a professional actor. Ashlyn is an award winning actress that can be seen in FX's Atlanta, AMC's The Walking Dead, BET's The Quad, the award winning short film CUPCAKE, many independent films and her hands are pictured on many a mozzarella stick box! She has also been in numerous commercials!  A lover of succulents, animals and fruit tarts.

Dacia James Lewis

DACIA JAMES LEWIS

Dacía James Lewis is a best-selling author, speaker, and choreographer whose charismatic personality fills every space with excitement and inspiration. She is a creative executioner whose resume reads of the top television shows, films, and commercials.

Dacía has worked with the best entertainers in the industry—like Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, and Mary J. Blige to working with actors such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Jennifer Hudson, and Jamie Foxx.​

JASON LOCKHART

Jason Lockhart is a Talent Agent from Los Angeles who relocated to the Southeast market in 2017 as the Head of TV & Film at one of the most prestigious agencies in Atlanta. He is also an accomplished filmmaker, having worked with National Lampoon and sold two feature films as an award-winning Writer/Director, one of which The CW picked up as a Movie of the Week. Having grown up as a child actor, Jason has over 25 years of experience & education in the industry, but after bouncing around several seats in Hollywood, he finds it most rewarding behind the talent agent's desk, helping others pursue their dreams. In 2020, that passion led to him becoming a #1 Best Selling author for his book Ask an Agent: Brutally Answered Questions for Actors of All Stages, and he continually writes for Backstage Magazine as one of their "Expert Contributors."

Phillip Mosness

PHILLIP MOSNESS

Phil Mosness is a graphic and digital artist who is employed by Walt Disney Television Studios Production Company. He has gained notoriety through his efforts as a storyboard artist and character designer for various movies and television series. Some credits include: Animaniacs, Mickey Mouse FunHouse, Care Bears: Welcome to Care-O-Lot, Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures, The Pagemaster and much more!

Bree Shannon

BREE SHANNON

Bree Shannon is an alumnae of the Atlanta Workshop Players and the amazing, life-changing, impactful AWP Tour Company. With over 20 years of entertainment experience, she recently retired from Carnival Cruise Lines where she traveled all over the world and performed as a featured vocalist and dancer in their main stage production shows. She is currently a vocal teacher and works with local bands and productions in the city. She has recently been appointed as the founding drama teacher for a new charter school called Atlanta SMART Academy, where they focus on math, science and the arts. Bree has several commercial, voice-over, on-camera acting and theatre credits and is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA.

Don Stallings

DON STALLINGS

Don has performed to critical acclaim in New York, Los Angeles and throughout the Southeast. He is a popular commercial talent and can be seen in Where the Crawdads Sing, Disney's The Haunted Mansion, Jerry and Marge Go Large, The Resident, Bobcat Goldthwait's Misfits and Monsters, Freaky, Stan Against Evil, Raising Dion, Zoe Ever After, Turn: Washington's Spies, and Game of Silence...Don performed nationally as a stand up comedian, is an experienced stage combat choreographer who received his training with the Society of American Fight Directors, is a teacher, producer, director, editor, shoots independent, corporate projects, and is a published playwright.

JORJEANA MARIE

Jorjeana Marie is the Los Angeles Times bestselling author of Improv for Writers (Penguin Random House/Ten Speed Press) and a staff writer on the Emmy nominated Tab Time with Tabitha Brown. She is the magical rabbit “Trikini” on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Funhouse and Mickey Mouse and the Roadster Racers (she also wrote on both shows).

You may recognize her voice from Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS or for narrating over 400 audiobooks for authors including Meg Wolitzer, Nina La Cour, Jacqueline Woodson, R. L. Stine, Elizabeth Gilbert. Kate DiCamillo and Gayle Forman. Winner of a prestigious Audie, a SOVAS, and more than a dozen Earphones awards, Jorjeana has been named one of the best YA voices by AudioFile Magazine year after year.

She is also a nationally touring stand-up comedian and improvisor. With an endorsement from Daisy Rock Guitars, Jorjeana performs ‘micro-songs’ in her act. Jorjeana is the co-creator of Puppets & Stuff with Phillip Mosness.

Rachel High

RACHEL HIGH

Rachel High is a camera operator & cinematographer based in Atlanta, GA. 

After earning her degree from The University of Georgia in Film & Anthropology, Rachel perused her passion for filmmaking & storytelling by working her way up from being a camera assistant to a confidant camera operator in the entertainment industry. 

Her dedication to her craft and attention to detail make her a sought-after professional in the industry.

CANEDY KNOWLES

See Canedy in Odd Mom Out, Friends From College, Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, Rescue Me, Enchanted, The Departed, Chicago City Limits (resident & touring company). She performs with the award-winning Off-Broadway improvisational company  Chicago City Limits in New York and around the country and is the director of their national tour company where she developed the improvised dating game, LovesStruck.  She has performed with ImprovOlympics, LA TheatreSports, The PIT, UCB and at the LA Comedy Festival and is an original member of Luck Of The Draw-The Fully Improvised Musical.  On television, she was able to use her improvisational skills to make audiences believe she was a real person in ABC's hidden camera show, What Would You Do? and improvised over 70 songs in less than 24 hours for the loyal fans of AT&T.

JACK ALCOTT

Jack is an actor that can be seen in Dexter: New Blood, The Good Lord Bird, The Blacklist and many more! He is currently working on an independent film which he is the lead in! Jack is an AWP Alum!

Laura Foster

LAURA FOSTER

Laura Foster is an avid music lover. She spends her weekdays working at State Farm as an Agent Development Coach. She is thrilled to be invited to work with the Atlanta Workshop Players to continue to fulfill her goal of helping others become the best version of themselves.

 

Laura spent five years as director of choral music at Morgan County Middle school where she built the chorus program from seven students to one hundred twenty students. Laura has performed with Morgan County Community Theater Company, Conyers Community Theater, and currently performs with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

 

Laura received her Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. After which, she continued her education at Columbus State University where she earned a Masters Degree in Music Education with a focus on Vocal Pedagogy

Zoe Morgan

ZOE MORGAN

Zoe is a filmmaker here in Atlanta, GA. She works regularly in the camera department for independent feature films and short films!
