Volunteers are essential to the Atlanta Workshop Players. (AWP) Not only do they bring their creative energy and support, but they also provide an important link to communities throughout the Atlanta area. Below is a sample of the rewarding opportunities available to AWP Volunteers.

Throughout each season AWP hosts and participates in a series of special events. These events may include opening night receptions and parties, Membership gatherings, benefits, and festivals and expositions across the city. Volunteer activities include preparing and serving refreshments, greeting guests, passing out information to the public, coat check and much more. Individuals who enjoy working with the public are best suited for these positions. Events take place evenings and weekends.

We can always use an extra pair of hands! AWP's marketing, development and business offices, always welcome extra help. Projects include assisting with general auditions, organizing mailings, hand addressing special invitations, entering data in the computers and various other office activities. Individuals volunteering regularly in these departments develop friendships with the staff and quickly become part of the AWP family. Projects take place weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings.

The Atlanta Workshop Players is a nationally recognized arts in education program. Individuals volunteering in this area represent AWP at community functions, and work with teachers and students through outreach programs for Atlanta's School students. Projects and events take place weekdays and weekends.
