As you may be well aware, for the past two decades, AWP has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of youth by providing quality performing arts education and leadership skills. Many students have moved on to greater performance opportunities and others have been well-served through the life skills developed under our tutelage. During our history, AWP has thrived and been self-sufficient based solely on the tuitions of its students and unsolicited donations. While we are a 501(c)(3) organization, we have not heretofore solicited public or private grant funds or solicited private donations.
However, as a result of the downturn in the economy, we are in need of your assistance. In this era of shrinking budgets and a growing lack of funding assistance, we have an urgent need for exigency support from those members of our community who have an ownership in our cause. We consider you part of that community. With your support, we will continue our tradition of achievement and dedication to the youth.
