The Atlanta Workshop Players (AWP) Internship Program offers a rich and challenging experience to qualified college students and recent college graduates who are preparing for careers in professional theatre. AWP interns have the opportunity to apply their practical skills and refine their critical thinking through close interaction with AWP staff and artists, as well as through the exchange of ideas with their fellow interns and their independent exploration of Atlanta's large and legendarily diverse theatre community.

The awarding of academic credit is entirely at the discretion of the intern's college or university; otherwise, the Atlanta Workshop Players is happy to provide documentation of the intern's activities and performance upon request. |

The level of responsibility entrusted to AWP interns requires that, besides demonstrating competence in their specific area of interest, they must also be mature, self-reliant, and able to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and a basic knowledge of computing are also essential. The performance of routine clerical tasks is a normal part of every intern's day. All internships are typically full-time for 4 months (fall), 5 months (winter/spring), or 3 months (summer). However, we do have some part-time positions available.
